Lord help me!

My 15 year old baby starts drivers ed today! I'll take a glass of wine now please.

I've been out of it for awhile and while away, wouldn't you know it? 2009 just up and arrived all in your face without even allowing me time to make any resolutions. So, I guess you're stuck with June the lunatic lush for another year. Actually, my resolution is to just.make.it through the 2009.

If - and that's a big if - I can make it through '09, I promise you'll see a much more calm, less lushier June in 2010.

I'll explain more later. When I have time. Right now I need to come to terms with having another teenage driver in my household.......

oh my Lord my prayers are with you. WHen Bitchy started driving I laid across the backseat with a coat over my head. Good thing we were never stopped.

Good luck and wear your seat belt.

I was stuck behind a student driver (the car had one of huge signs on the roof) yesterday and it was a bit ugly.

Yes Tink has her learners permit too! Drivers ed this summer. Hubby let her drive on the highway for the first time. I took the back seat, buckled in and then wrapped myself in my heavy coat!

Jesus Wept. My thoughts are with you. I spent all my time picking my fingernails out of the dashboard when The Director was learning.

Are you nuts? Wait I know the answer to that... Rule in my house at the present time is one must make straight A's on the report card to be allowed to take driver's ed. THAT's never actually happened so I am pretty safe until he graduates high school - muwahahahahaha!

Doing the happy seat dance here! I don't have to worry about this stuff! No girls, no boys, no mad father knocking on my door one day saying do you know what you kid did to mine! I am blessed, spoiled..whatever..now pour the friggin wine!

This is not the time to decrease your wine intake. Can you get picked up for RIDING under the influence? I had to send Homer with our youngest... I was afraid I would jump out the window.

Why do they want to drive anyway? I remember when my oldest got her license and I let her go into town and I stood by that Kitchen window until she pulled into the driveway. I did that for two weeks!! Then I felt ok about her driving, did the same thing with the last two!!! So I guess Junie what I'm trying to tell you two weeks and you will be ok. Take care my sweet friend. Hugs, Pat

my baby got his license in march. for whatever reason, it was harder for me than when the other two got theirs. it might have had something to do with the number of accidents they managed to get into in 5 years...

*passes the bottle*

My eldest baby is 16 and has shown very little interest in getting the actual license. Lucky Me!

My baby the Drama Queen starts in March. We made it part of our wedding vow "Dude, do you promise to not buy motorcycles, airplanes and accept responsibility to teach any child your wife pushes forward from her womb to drive?" He said yes and he is stuck with that vow. I rode twice with Hermit Crab when she was learning to drive. I immediately got out of the car and grabbed the nearest bottle of liquor I could find. Oh, and I still wait up to for Hermit Crab who has had her license for a year (she didn't want to drive-we made her. we couldn't drive them to work this last summer)
