Best Text Ever

I don't want to get my hopes up, but I may be in the running for that "Mother of the Year" award afterall.....

Actual text message today, from Wally, from college:

I have a new found respect for you

for cleaning the microwave

for the past eighteen years.

Who says a mother's work always go unnoticed?

JK Way to go mom!! As he gets older, you get smarter.

That is too funny! Love the things that people learn when Mom isn't there to do it for him!

It's truly amazing the things they 'realize' once they are gone... My all time favorite was Chase flying home for Christmas break in his second year of college and boring my car in an ice storm on New Year's Eve. Slid into a curb of course and blew the tire, thankfully had a friend with a brain with him that was able to change said tire and when he got home, he announced "Did you know that there's this thing in the trunk that you crank up and it lifts your car and then you have another tire in a whole in your trunk?" Really, I'm paying for a college education for YOU?

And apparently I can't spell - he BORROWED my car, and there was a HOLE in the trunk - geez!

Didn't we all learn that same lesson when we first moved out
